DAY 69 GRAMMY CHASE: MIDNIGHT TRAIN

Day 69 and how sweet it is. Another day of breathing and happy, healthy living abundance. Sweet. Today, I thought to go back to a year where most of my friends were in still their mothers wombs and musicians and artists were TRULY talented. I had a childhood crush on Gladys as she was brown skinned and reminded me very much of my Aunt Joyce.  Auntie Joyce used to play Gladys alot when I would visit. which I’m sure added to my appreciation of her work and talent, so thanks Auntie.

In the video, they’re performing Midnight Train to Georgia, which won a Grammy for Best R&B Performance by a Group in 1973. Dig the harmonizing!! WOOOOooo!!! …Oh! AND the dance steps.
I know that times MUST change, but wouldn’t it be so much more enjoyable and palatable had the landscape of music changed for the better over the years?
